Sedition Charges in Nigeria

Nigeria is in the grip of desperate despots who are bent on raping her to death.
One of the institution that has come under constant, brutal attack in the past few days for standing up to the government has been the media.

And of recent, this institution has come under attack as typyfied by the charges levelled on two journalist:Mr.Gbenga Aruleba of the African Independent Television ,a private television based in the outskirs of Lagos, the nation's commercial nerve center.
The second journalist is mr.Rotimi Durojaiye, A senior Aviation correspondents with the daily independent Newspaper also based in Lagos.

The pair were charged with "making defamatory statements against the person of the President".

This charges related to statements credited to pair saying that the new presidential Plane were not safe in respect of the age of the aeroplane in question.

Methinks for an individual to be concerned about the safety of his president should be commended. But here in nigeria, this two gentlemen are being vilified by the government of the day.

What an odd world!!!
